Located in Friargate, the restaurant quarter of Derby, within a building that dates back to the 1600s, our Derby bistrot is well worth a visit no matter whether you’re near or far.
We embrace French culture and love of food and celebrate all that is great about French cuisine. All of our dishes are freshly prepared by our chefs, using a mix of artisan provincial ingredients and carefully selected locally sourced ingredients, in the style of typical continental bistrots.
A firm favourite with our customers, our Derby bistrot provides a truly authentic experience, that you would find in any French town. There is a second floor and we can cater for larger groups and parties.

Having joined us in 2005 as a waitress in our Nottingham bistrot, Natalie’s talents were recognised and she has progressed through front of house roles to Assistant Manager in Leamington and Derby. She was promoted to General Manager in Derby in June 2014.
Before coming to Le Bistrot Pierre Dishon worked in large corporate hotels and also on cruise ships. He joined the company in 2006 as he particularly liked the idea of cooking fresh food. Dishon started as a Commis Chef in Leamington Spa and when the new bistrot in Stratford upon Avon opened, he moved there as a Senior Sous Chef. In 2013 he moved again to Plymouth as Head Chef.
